Each release of Mashup is different.

Not only is the technique of creating the wine unique, but the personality of each new version changes depending on what we choose to add. The season’s growing condition plus the palate drawn from our vineyards and varietals allows us to build a special wine with each new version. Tasting and choosing the new components of each version and how they mesh with the solera base wine is the highlight of every winemaking year.  

Mashup is an experience, crafted from Santa Cruz Mountain vineyards, over time. We love to share it with family, friends, and you, and hope you will do the same.

Mashup V7

This wine is ready to drink now and will age nicely through 2033.

This full-bodied signature Solera-style wine is a special blend containing 47% Cabernet Sauvignon, 39% Syrah, 8% Tempranillo, 5% Petit Verdot, and 1% Cabernet Franc from vintages dating back to 2010.

This multi-year release melds and relaxes the wine into a smooth, silky, yet complex symphony of aromas and flavors. Intense blackberry, dark cherry, purple flowers, leather, and smokey meat are found on the nose and palate. Fine tannins arise mid-palate and pepper spiciness echoes throughout the finish.

Consider these pairings

Mashup V7 will pair well with a wide variety of foods including: nutty and umami cheeses such as Gruyere, Cheddar, Smoked Gouda, and aged Manchego; roasted and grilled meats or peppers, barbecue marinades, and bacon wrapped dates.
